| City of Milford Council January 30, 2002 The Council of the City of Milford met in Special Session in Council Chambers at 745 Center Street at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2002. Mayor Antell opened the meeting. Roll Call: Present - Mayor Antell, Vice-Mayor Bishop, Ms. Hinners, Mr. Metz, Ms. McBeath, Mr. Gradolf, Mr. Kolb Public Hearing: Mayor Antell requested to open the Bryco/Gatch Public Hearing. Motion by Mr. Bishop and second by Ms. Hinners to re-open the Public Hearing. Mayor Antell asked for the record to reflect the Bryco/Gatch Public Hearing has been opened to accept correspondence, letters, and Mr. Mara's report, the South Milford residents' attorney, into the record. Mayor Antell asked the Applicant if he cared to speak at this time. Mr. C. Francis Barrett advised that he did not receive Mr. Mara's report before the meeting, but he did receive it at the meeting. He did receive 37 letters plus 10 additional letters this afternoon. Mr. C. Francis Barrett introduced William C. Ryan and John C. Sansalone in attendance this evening. Mr. C. Francis Barrett reiterated points from previous meetings leading up to the vote of the Ordinance02-172 this evening. Mr. John Sansalone read from a prepared document in response to Mr. Mara's report and Mr. Herbert C. Preul's report. |
Mr. Tim Mara stated his clients are not opposed to a plan, just this one. Mr. Minniear, City of Milford Law Director, asked Mr. Mara who he represents. Mr. Tim Mara asked those he represents to stand. Ms. Jennifer Liles spoke on behalf the individuals that Mr. Mara represents. Ms. Liles advised Council that Mr. Mara does not represent the South Milford Neighborhood Association. Mayor Antell requested a motion to close the Bryco/Gatch Public Hearing. Motion by Mr. Gradolf and second by Mr. Metz to close the Bryco/Gatch Public Hearing. Mayor Antell, Vice-Mayor Bishop, Mr. Gradolf, Ms. Hinners, Mr. Kolb, and Mr. Metz voted yes. Ms. McBeath voted no. Mr. Mike Minniear added to the record, the sole purpose of re-opening the Bryco/Gatch Hearing is because of the all the letters that have come in. Council has been inundated with correspondence, letters, and Mr. Mara's report. Law Director, Mike Minniear read all Mr. C. Francis Barrett approved changes for the Ordinance 02-172 into the record along with all conditions applicable. New Business: 02-172 An Ordinance adopting findings of fact and conclusions of law and approving with conditions a preliminary development plan for the Bryco/Gatch planned development project. Motion by Ms. Hinners and second by Mr. Bishop to suspend the rules and read by title only. Mayor Antell, Vice-Mayor Bishop, Mr. Gradolf, Ms. Hinners, Mr. Kolb, and Mr. Metz voted yea. Ms. McBeath voted no. Motion by Mr. Metz and second by Mr. Gradolf to adopt. All voted no.
