Community Notes·Two employees have recently celebrated their silver anniversary with the City of Milford. Finance Director Stephen Wagner and Law Director Michael Minniear have both completed twenty five years with the City of Milford. Their dedication and hard work has set an example for staff and has proved a great asset to the City administration. Congratulations Steve and Mike! We anticipate recognition of twenty-five years of service for two additional employees, Mike Haight and Ray Butler.·The Cincinnati Enquirer nominated Milford and Miami Township as one of the Great Neighborhoods in the area. Daffodil UpdateIn October the Daffodil Committee of the Milford Task Force will coordinate the second annual daffodil planting event. Our goal is to purchase and plant 5,000 bulbs with the assistance of David Sence at LTD Landscapes. The Daffodil Committee has plenty of volunteers but needs funding to sustain the project. Donations should be sent to the Milford Task Force c/o the Milford Miami Chamber of Commerce, 100 Cemetery Road, Milford Ohioio 45150. If you have any questions, contact the Chamber at(513) 831-2411. Hazard Mitigation PlanThe City of Milford is currently in the process of forming its Hazard Mitigation Committee. With the help of FMSM consultants, this committee will construct a Hazard Mitigation Plan. Mandated by Ohio Emergency Management Agency (OEMA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), this plan will allow Milford to access state and federal funding by identifying natural hazards affecting properties and possible mitigation options.The Hazard Mitigation Committee will meet five times, once every six weeks. Meetings will last approximately two hours and will be held in Council Chambers of City Hall. The first meeting of this committee will be September 30th at 5:30. Red Robin OpeningMilford Council Members and Milford City staff joined together to celebrate the grand opening of Red Robin at 45 Rivers Edge Drive on July 12, 2003. Known for their gourmet hamburgers, Red Robin is popular in the South and West. Milford is pleased to welcome Red Robin to the Milford Commerce Park. |
