The Milford Community Firefighters Club is proud to show our 1945 Seagrave Pumper. On October 2, 1945 the Village of Milford accepted delivery of this new pumper. It was completely restored with modern safety additions in August, 2002. Willis Freeman, owner of Lloyds Radiator, spent countless hours throughout the past year to restore our oldest pumper. We would also like to thank Sherril Freeman for her help and patience, as well as Kenny Rose for helping to restore the 1945 Seagrave. All money spent on the restoration was raised and paid for by the Milford Community Firefighters Club. This pumper is used throughout the year for public activities and is a big part of our school safety programs. We would also like to announce that our new 2002 Seagrave Pumper was delivered in August from Clintonsville, Wisconsin. This truck was purchased last year to replace our 1978 Mack, which has been sold to another volunteer fire department in Ohio. Our 1988 Seagrave ladder truck has also returned from the Seagrave Plant with our new engine. The ladder had to be completely rebuilt from damages it suffered at the Evans Funeral Home fire. Awards were presented to Hamilton County 911 Dispatcher Tim Harris for keeping the resident calm until help arrived. Officer Sean Mahan and Charles Evans were presented awards for their heroism while evacuating the victim from her second story window onto the roof, and Lt. Jon Frye received an award of heroism for carrying the victim down the ladder to safety. All awards were presented during a meeting of City Council by Police Chief Larry Lantman and Fire Chief John E. Cooper, Sr.
