Street and Cemetery Department
The extreme storm events, experienced June 17th-18th, have reminded us of the importance of keeping natural drainage areas free of debris and litter that can block culverts and drainage-ways downstream. In order to prevent any damage, please inspect the drainage-way behind your property on a regular basis, and do not dump litter or yard waste into this area. Failure to comply may result in a citation from the City. If you have any questions, please call the City Engineer at 248-5098.
Please also remember that the public right-of-way needs to remain public. Any obstructions, barricades, or attempts to blockade these areas will result in a citation from the City. If you have a questions about your specific property line, please call the Planning Department at 248-5093.
Christmas-tree collection will be held every Wednesday in January. Please rid the tree of all lights, tinsel, and decoration, and place it at the curb. Call the Service Department at 831-7018 with any questions.
Leaf collection will continue every day through November. Please rake leaves to the sidewalk. Brush collection will continue through the winter months on a call-in basis only. To request a brush pick-up, please call 831-7018.
Unfortunately, individuals have placed shepherd hooks throughout Greenlawn Cemetery, which poses a hazard to the employees and causes maintenance problems.
