In May of 2005 the City of Milford adopted a Hazard Mitigation Plan. Mandated by Ohio Emergency Management Agency (OEMA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), this plan will allow Milford to access state and federal funding by assessing natural hazards that have a history of affecting properties and identifying possible mitigation alternatives.

A committee of seven volunteers met over several months to determine the content of the Hazard Mitigation Plan, including the top natural hazards that affect our community, a list of problem statements related to those hazards, a list of possible mitigation alternatives, and an action plan to implement some of the alternatives.

A copy of the City of Milford Hazard Mitigation Plan is available to the right. If you have any questions regarding the plan, please contact the City Manager.
