The City of Milford is divided into five sections for sidewalks. Each summer the City Inspector will walk an entire section of the City – see the Sidewalk Inspection Map at right. The Inspector will also respond to citizen complaints in any area of the city. Sidewalks will be marked where the offset between blocks is ½ inch or greater, cracks are greater than ½ inch, severely spalled surfaces, and other hazardous conditions.

If the Inspector determines that a sidewalk is in disrepair, the property owner will receive a notice explaining the defect and be given 90 days to make the repair.
