General Information

Utility customers are billed for Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, and Solid Waste & Recycling.

To pay your bill online click here.

Questions regarding billing should be called within a week of receiving the billing.

Everyone living in your household should be able to locate the water meter and valves to turn water off inside your home should a pipe break.

Please make sure to insulate the area near water pipes and meter pits to prevent freezing. Installation of a new meter to replace a frozen meter will be charged to the property owner. Notify the Utility Billing office immediately should your water pipes freeze and break. A sewer credit may be issued if the water does not enter the city sewer system. Proper documentation and meter readings must be submitted to the billing office for consideration of a credit.

Sewer credits for watering gardens, lawns, flower gardens, trees, etc. are not issued. The sewer is billed from the meter usage. It is impossible to guess a consumption amount for outside watering. Deduct meters are not permitted.

A separate landscape water line and meter is permitted. However, this requires proper permits such as a Permission to Tap Permit, Street Opening Permit, and Meter charge must be paid in full by the customer. See the Building & Zoning Center for forms and information.

Leaving on a Vacation?

Don’t leave the house until you make certain no water is running. A toilet that does not completely shut off can use several thousand gallons of water. Both water and sewer will be billed to the account. A sewer credit cannot be issued for a leaking/running toilet as the water does go to the sewer line
