NIXLE - Public Notification System

Nixle Connect allows Milford Police to communicate with the public via text/SMS, e-mail, and Internet posts at no cost. Communications can range from emergency alerts to routine day-to-day information (traffic and missing persons reports, safety tips, crime information, community outreach programs, news about various agencies, etc.). By using Nixle Connect, Milford Police will be able to communicate in real-time with residents and continue to provide excellent service to the public.

How to Unsubscribe from Unwanted Nixle Alerts

You can make changes to your Nixle account from your www.nixle.com account login. If you have never logged in via the website, you can create your full account access login from this same web page at the far upper right of the screen (“Registered Subscribers Sign in Here”); then click the “Need Password” link. Please note, if you request a password via SMS text, you must use your cell phone number, along with the password received via text, to log in. Likewise, if you request a password via email, you must use your email address to log in.

Once logged in, start off on the Locations tab; un-check the box to Subscribe to Official Government Agencies, then click Save at the bottom. You can then select just the agencies you want on the Settings tab. Be sure to select the Milford Police Department and then chose which types of messages you want to receive (we strongly encourage you to subscribe to all; alerts, advisories, community) and how (SMS, email, or both). Click Save again to keep your changes! Please note, residents requiring further assistance with tailoring their account preferences can email support@nixle.com for further assistance.
